The signing of the MOU took place with the attendance of many participants including Minister of Telecommunication, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign Employment Harin Fernando, and Deputy Minister of Telecommunication, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara.
Minister Harin Fernando, addressing the participants, stated that the innovation center will help accelerate an entrepreneurial and research culture in the country.
The Innovation Center will be used by Sri Lankans for various purposes pertaining to information technology, communication, learning and research. Especially researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals will be able to use this facility as a test lab to test various programmes. The value of the entire project is Rs 500 million.
